Michigan School Readiness Program General Education Services

The Michigan School Readiness Program is a stated-funded quality early childhood program for our at-risk children. The program runs from September - May at 3 separate sites in Menominee County: Menominee, North Central, and Stephenson. Children from Carney Nadeau are served by the program at North Central. The programs are either M-Th for 2 1/2 hours or all day, alternate days M-Th. Currently, 68 four year old children are served through this program.

The daily program includes a variety of rich literacy activities, structured indoor and outdoor play, snack time, and sharing. This program works closely with area Headstart programs to ensure children and families have access to the most appropriate early childhood programs for which they are qualified to attend.

For further information about the Michigan School Readiness Program , please contact the following principals in your school district. Ken Linder, Carney Nadeau; Cheryl Cadieu, Menominee; Randy Piatti, North Central; Julee Nordin, Stephenson.
