Homeless General Education Services

Children and youth who are homeless are entitled to special services provided by their local school district. Some of the services they are entitled to include
immediate enrollment in school Title I academic support transportation to their residency district access to free lunch program certain school supplies

To be eligible for homeless services, the child or youth must meet one of the following criteria: family is in a temporary emergency shelter family is living in housing which is not their own home child or youth is living with someone other than their legal guardian
